STUDENTS EXCELLING IN THEIR CHOSEN SPORT

Term three has a number of our students in preparation for sporting events at a high level. Dean Solway of year 12 is currently training with the Comets in preparation for the summer cricket season. We congratulate Dean and wish him all the best in his career in this sport.

Amy Arnott is currently training for the ACT Under 15 Women's Squad ahead of the National Championships in Darwin from the 26th of September through until the 2nd of October. She is working not only on her skills, team play and fitness, but on being able to acclimatise to the conditions the team will face when going from a Canberra winter to Darwin dry season. Good luck Amy!

Will Wallace is currently training for the ACT Under 15 Boys Hockey squad for the National Championships in Launceston, Tasmania during October. Good luck Will!

Adam Bradley who plays number one in the Karabar High Boys tennis team has been invited to participate in selection trials for the CHS team to be held on August 16th in Wollongong. We wish Adam well in the trials and look forward to hearing about his progress.

In the search for athletes who could become Australia's next generation of Elite female rowers Amy and Linley Jenkins where both recalled for testing. They joined six other athletes from various ACT locations and redid the strength and endurance tests. They then made it out onto the water in a Quad Scull and Double Scull. Matilda Lilford also attended the testing morning. Results should be available in the next few weeks
