Parents and Citizens' Association
Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C)
What is a P&C?
The P&C is a group of interested people who bring the school and the
community into close co-operation. It is the representative voice of
parents/careers with children at Karabar High School.
Why join? What's in it for me?
Recent research has shown that the vital ingredient for student learning
is parental participation.
We have the right to know and participate in the development of the plans
and policies for running Karabar High School. And to access complete and
accurate information about our children's progress as well as to get
information on the courses and educational programs that Karabar High
School offer. Karabar High School is a multi-faceted school that caters to
a wide range of students and their needs.
The P&C work together with the Principal, the Staff, the School
Council and the Student Representative Council (SRC) to make a difference
at Karabar High.
Things are on the move and you can be part of what is happening at the
school.
Karabar High School is the school of choice for the Queanbeyan and
district community! Come and find out why!
What have the P&C been involved in?
The P&C are involved in a number of key areas at the school such as
Welfare, Curriculum, Environment and planning for the future.
Who can join the KHS P&C?
The KHS P&C is open to everyone, parents, caregivers, grandparents,
teachers, students and members of the whole community.
We understand that new patterns of family life, employment and leisure
activities have led to competing demands on your valuable time and that
this reflects social change not lack of interest. If you can come along we
would love to see you!
When and where is the KHS P&C held?
We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month in the Karabar High School
COnference Room at 7.00pm.
